Pursuant to Chapter 30B, Section 15 of the Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L. c. 30B, §15), the Morse Institute Library in the Town of Natick, 14 East Central Street, Natick, MA 01760 (“the Morse Institute Library”) invites the submission of bids in an online auction to dispose of the following surplus equipment:
Two (2) pieces of library furniture. Good condition.
- One (1) Atlas/Map cabinet
Dimensions and details of the Atlas/Map cabinet: five pull-out shelves; angled top surface; 33” D x 47” H x 33” W
- One (1) Three (3)-Sided Display
Dimensions and details of the 3-Sided Display with cord board and slat wall display- 34” wide x 72” tall, Fabric/cork board 36”tall x 28”wide
Bids may NOT be placed directly with the Morse Institute Library, but must be processed through the auction website.
The equipment will be sold, if at all, to the responsive bidder offering the highest price for the equipment described in this notice and on the auction site listing. The Morse Institute Library reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to dispose of the equipment through a negotiated sale, provided that the negotiated sale price is higher than the highest bid received from a responsive bidder.
Upon winning the auction, the winning bidder shall be required to submit a signed non-collusion form to the Morse Institute Library prior receipt of the equipment. Said non-collusion form shall state as follows:
“The undersigned certifies, under penalties of perjury, that its Bid has been made and submitted in good faith and without collusion or fraud with any other person. As used in this certification, the word “person” shall mean any natural person, business, partnership, corporation, union, committee, club or other organization, entity, or group of individuals.”
The winning bidder shall also certify that, pursuant to M.G.L. c. 62C, §49A, that it is in compliance with all laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts pertaining to taxes, to the reporting of employees and contractors, and to the withholding and remittance of child support.
Payment in full, in the form of electronic payment to publicsurplus.com is required prior to pickup. It shall be the seller’s responsibility to pick up all goods in person, within ten (10) days, within Natick, after payment is made in full. Delivery of goods is buyer’s responsibility. Goods shall be sold as is, where is. Seller disclaims any and all warranties, including those of merchantability and fitness for particular purpose.

Town of Natick may require bid deposits to ensure fairness to all buyers.
PayMac handles all payments for Town of Natick.
Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer or Credit Card.
NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED!
Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award of the winning bid.
Will charge a sales tax of 6.25%. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding. When sales tax is included, the buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.
A Buyers Premium of 10% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium if applicable will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.
All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.
The successful bidder will be responsible for removal or pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Removal must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award of the winning bid. The notice of award, the payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at the time of pick-up, or the Town of Natick will not release the item to you.

The successful bidder will be responsible for the packing, loading and/or transporting of any item(s), if necessary
