Buyers have 3 days to pay for the item after winning the auction and must remove items within the scheduled time provided. Failure to do so may cause forfeiture of item. ALL items purchased must be removed from its location by the buyer. Seller retains the right to cancel the auction at any time, and to accept or refuse any offers.
Buyers must supply all personnel for removing said items, County of Kauaʻi will NOT have ANY loading capabilities. All items must be removed from the property and/or loaded on the truck by the buyer. There are NO forklifts or loading equipment available. Some equipment is extremely Heavy, and will require special trailers for removal, which shall be supplied by the buyer.
We are not responsible for packing, shipping or otherwise of any items sold.
County of Kauaʻi WILL NOT SUPPLY TOOLS, OR ASSISTANCE IN REMOVAL OF ITEMS.
PROPER EQUIPMENT MUST BE USED FOR REMOVAL OF ALL ITEMS, I.E. TRUCKS, TRAILERS, TOW TRUCKS.
Items not paid for within 3 calendar days will be passed to the next highest bidder with the winner forfeiting their right to the item.
General Conditions: All surplus property is sold on an "As Is/Where Is" basis. Items are available solely for inspection through photographs and detailed descriptions provided online.
Buyer's Premium: A Buyer's Premium of 10.5% will be added to the final sale price, subject to a minimum fee of $1 per auction for payment processing. This premium will be displayed during the bidding process and incorporated into the final bid amount.
Payment Terms: Acceptable payment methods are limited to Credit Card and Wire Transfer Only. Payment for awarded items must be received within three (3) business days of the award notification. All sales are considered final, and Public Surplus will confirm payment receipt via email.
Bid Deposit: The County of Kauaʻi reserves the right to impose a bid deposit requirement. This measure ensures fairness among all participants and reduces incidences of default bidding.
Pick-Up Procedures: Pick-up arrangements are available strictly by appointment. Buyers will be contacted via telephone or email to schedule a designated date and time.
The successful bidder is obligated to retrieve the item(s) from the agency's premises on the specified date and time. At the time of pick-up, the bidder must present the notice of award, proof of payment, and valid government-issued identification. Failure to provide these documents will result in the item(s) not being released.
